The villa is just a stone’s throw from Pienza, such a perfect miniature of Renaissance architecture that its entire center is recognized by UNESCO.

In less than half an hour by car, you can easily reach the medieval town of Montepulciano. Standing high atop a hill not far from Siena, the town of Montepulciano boasts elegant Renaissance palaces, ancient churches, charming squares and breathtaking views over the wonderful Val d’Orcia. In just one hour by car, you can also reach Montalcino, extremely well-known for the production of its Brunello red wine, one of the world’s most appreciated Italian wines.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Siena. Its ancient red brick buildings, the scallop-shaped main square Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral Square, dominated by the zebra-striped Duomo, make it an absolute must for anyone traveling to Tuscany. Effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

Explore Grosseto and wander around its 16th-century Medici walls, now transformed into gardens perfect for a pleasant walk. The wide walls form a hexagonal shape and enclose the whole of the historic center of the city. Enjoy a Tuscan lunch before visiting the Romanesque cathedral. Originally dating back to the 13th-century, it was extensively remodeled in the 19th-century. Then visit the smaller churches of San Francesco and San Pietro, which date back to the Medieval period.

The villa is also a few kilometers from San Gimignano, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Italy. From afar, San Gimignano looks like a town from a Renaissance painting: a circle of 13th-century walls enclosing tall, teetering stone towers. Its towers make it instantly recognizable, but the art treasures held within its walls are just as remarkable. Although the town is small, there is enough art, architecture and fine food to keep you busy for more than one day.

The Property
Set in a serene countryside of gently rolling hills, Property 523 provides the perfect retreat for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in the heart of Tuscany. Immersed in a lush garden with aromatics herbs and located near the heart of Pienza, this magnificent Tuscan country house boasts a magnificent pool and can accommodate up to twelve guests featuring six double bedrooms and six bathrooms spread over two floors.

A spacious portico furnished with a large table and chairs is the perfect area for dining al fresco, to fully enjoy the freedom of country living in front of a dramatic sunset with a delicious local Tuscan wine. Immersed in a lush garden, this exclusive villa boasts a magnificent long pool and a generous poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. The pool is shaped like an ornamental lake and great for serious exercise, can be heated on request at an additional cost.

A little bit of Tuscan in every detail. The challenge was to make the house modern and comfortable, but at the same time allow guests to immerse themselves in a very Tuscan lifestyle, leaving inspiration from vintage objects and furnishings. A big lounge area offers comfortable sofas with plenty of seating, lots of books in the library, and a large fireplace. As the evening falls, gather around the fireplace and enjoy a glass of local wine with your fellow guests.

From a corner of this living area, you have access to a second kitchen to prepare tea and snacks. On the ground floor, near the kitchen, you will find a double bedroom and a private bathroom with an exceptional Jacuzzi tub (please note that this is the only bedroom whose bathroom is not en-suite). On the ground floor you will also find two double bedrooms. Both bedrooms can be converted into twin rooms and have en-suite bathroom. One bathroom has an exceptional double shower and one has a large shower.

On the first floor of the villa, you will find three exceptional double bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom complete with both shower and Jacuzzi tub. One bedroom has a comfortable double bed and en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub, and one bedroom, which can be converted into a twin room, features en-suite bathroom with double shower. The villa also boasts an exceptional veranda and an exclusive 100-sqm gym, which can also be a generous space for relaxing and meditate.
