There is nothing comparable to the beauty of the Roman skyline, from the sweet inclination of the various rooftops and the sinuous and vivacious curves of the the mountains that confines them...from a letter by Francois-Renè de Chateaubriand to Marchese di Fontanes, 1804.

Description

Property 1651263797 - Rome

5 Bedrooms - Panoramic Terrace

Location and Surrounding Area. Strategically situated in the heart of Rome, on the second and third floor of one of the city’s palazzi, these contemporary two apartments are the perfect location for your planned stay in the Italian capital. With a peaceful yet central location, many of Rome’s most famous attractions are within easy walking distance, with the rest just a short taxi ride away. It would take weeks to see all that the city has to offer, but a few days is enough to explore Rome’s most beautiful sites.

Set in the beating heart of Rome, just a stone’s throw from Piazza Navona and the magnificent Pantheon, Marmi apartments have their roots in an era from times gone by. Piazza Navona is a magnificent square with a fountain by Bernini and a popular gathering point for Romans with its bustling terraced cafés and seasonal fairgrounds. The apartments are also a few steps from the Pantheon, the city’s best preserved ancient temple and a must for any first visit to Rome.

The Trevi Fountain, the world’s most famous fountain, is just around the corner. The fountain is a Baroque explosion of tritons, winged horses and drinking snakes, and its water glitters with thousands of coins that tourists have tossed in. The apartment is also a few kilometers from the Sistine Chapel and the Roman sculpture-and-sarcophagi-stuffed Vatican Museums. Your journey is not complete without a visit to St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica, one of the largest churches ever built.

The Colosseum, the biggest amphitheater ever built and the most eloquent symbol of Imperial Rome, is a walk away. Half circus, half sports arena, Rome’s most famous classical ruin is unmissable, especially now that they have extended the visitor route to the underfloor passageways through which gladiators and wild beasts made their entrances. The apartment is a few kilometers from the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum, the ancient center of the civil and religious life of the city.

Property 1651263797 is 23 km from Rome-Ciampino International Airport “G. B. Pastine” and 30 km from Rome-Fiumicino International Airport “Leonardo da Vinci”. Piazza Navona is just 260 m from the property, the Pantheon is less than 2 km, the St. Peter’s Basilica and the St. Peter’s Square are 2 km, the Trevi Fountain is 2 km, the Sistine Chapel is 3 km, the Vatican Museums are 3 km, the Roman Forum is 4 km, the Galleria Borghese is 4 km, the Colosseum is 5 km, the Palatine Hill is 5 km, and Trastevere is 5 km.
