Overlooking the forest-lined banks of the lake, the tiny village of Orta San Giulio has abundant charm. There is something magical about rising early and heading for a coffee in Piazza Mario Motta, gazing across at the sun-dappled Isola San Giulio in the early morning quiet. At the northern end of the square, which bursts with local life on market day, stands a fresco-adorned structure sitting atop pillars like giant stills— the Palazzotto, which was once the seat of a local council and now occasionally hosts temporary exhibitions.

At the centre of the lake, Isola San Giulio houses the stunning Basilica of San Giulio, founded in the 4th century. Inside the basilica is a large bone, which, according to legend, belonged to one of the terrible dragons San Giulio vanquished from the island. Beyond the lush gardens and residences that mark the hills rising behind Orta is a kind of parallel town, the Sacro Monte di San Francesco, where twenty small chapels dedicated to Saint Francis of Assisi, built between the 16th and 18th centuries, dot the leafy hillside.

Property 10373 is a 17th-century mansion that was completely renovated in 2012, combining luxury materials with modern technology. Additionally, there is a private beach for the exclusive use of guests, featuring two sun loungers and a canoe. The beach can be reached by car, approximately 10 minutes from the property. Enter the ground floor to find a modern, fully-equipped kitchen and dining room, a study, a guest bathroom, and a private spa with an indoor heated pool. All rooms on this floor lead onto the garden.

Upstairs, you will find a spacious living room with a TV, decorative fireplace, and coffered ceiling, a guest bathroom, and two bedrooms (which can be connected on request), each with its own en-suite bathroom.
