Location and Surrounding Area. Property 10584 sits on the banks of Lake Monterosi, surrounded by peaceful fields and meadows. The lake's unique geological features render it an oasis for numerous aquatic plants, fish and birds and guests at Property 10584 have exclusive use of a part of the lake. These are the same uncontaminated, pastoral views that have long inspired artists such as the French landscape painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.

For golfing enthusiasts, there are various golf clubs within easy reach of Property 10584; Golf Club Le Querce, Terre dei Consoli Golf Club, Golf Club Nazionale and Olgiata Golf Club.

Nearby volcanic Lake Bracciano offers much in the way of water sports and even pretty beaches for a refreshing swim in summertime. The beautiful, medieval Orsini-Odescalchi Castle is a famous setting for prestigious weddings and the adjacent historical centre is full of churches and historical monuments.

Rome is a city dripping with history; from the wonders of Michelangelo's artwork in the Sistine Chapel to the Colosseum and Imperial Forum, there is so much to see and do. The city was relatively undamaged during the Second World war and as such, the centre remains essentially renaissance and baroque in character. Not to be missed is a coffee in the famous Piazza Navona and the quintessential Campo de' Fiori with its statue of the philosopher and mathematician Giordano Bruno in the centre. The nearby Pantheon is perhaps one of Ancient Rome's best preserved buildings and the dome remains today, even after 2000 years, the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome.

Property 10584 is less than an hour's drive from Fiumicino international airport near Rome, about 40 minutes from the city of Rome, half an hour from the Olgiata Golf Club, 15 minutes from Lake Bracciano and ten minutes from the other golf clubs.

The Property. Property 10584 is nestled within a large olive grove and sleeps up to eight guests in four double bedrooms, each with splendid views out over the lake. The property is beautifully decorated with antique furnishings in true Italian style. The sumptuous main suite is located on the ground floor and offers a  double bedroom, elegant sitting room and luxurious bathroom. Two of the other bedrooms each have an en suite bathroom and the fourth has its own bathroom nearby.

The enormous sitting room is full of light and has wonderful views from the arched windows. There is a traditional fireplace fitted with an easy-to-use wood burning stove and comfortable sofas for cosy evening conversation. The floors are fitted with elegant rugs and the magnificent ceilings have wooden beams.

The formal dining room has a table which easily seats eight guests and again, the arched windows have panoramic views.

The kitchen is fitted with all modern conveniences for putting together delicious meals or otherwise there is a chef on hand to prepare all meals ready for your return.  And if you find yourself feeling heavy after all those dinners, you can either relax in the sauna or work off the extra weight in the private gym.

The terraces overlooking the lake are furnished for both lounging and relaxing with a book and for romantic al fresco meals under the stars.

The gardens are immaculate and cleverly landscaped to include a large swimming pool and various paths that cross over pretty ponds full of aquatic wonders. The poolside area has sunbeds for topping up a spectacular Italian suntan. There is a fruit orchard filled with delightful trees and plenty of nooks and crannies for moments of intimate privacy.
