Location and Surrounding Area
Located on the western shore of Lake Como, in the centre of the town of Torno and just a short drive from the centre of Como, this magnificent property is the perfect place for an elegant Italian break by the lake that inspired composers, artists, and poets. Set in the shadow of the snow-covered Rhaetian Alps and hemmed in on both sides by steep, verdant hillsides, Lake Como is perhaps the most spectacular of the three major lakes.

Shaped like an upside-down Y and measuring around 160 km in length of squiggly shoreline, Lake Como is dotted with villages, including the exquisite Bellagio and Varenna. Where the southern and western shores converge is the lake's main town, Como, an elegant Italian city. The town of Cernobbio lies on the shores of the southwestern end of Lake Como. The main lakeside promenade heads left from the centre, where the boats are hauled onto the quay. There are benches and plenty of shade provided by the trees.

Take a boat to Tremezzo, one of the most romantic places on Lake Como, and visit Villa Carlotta. Built at the end of the 17th century, Villa Carlotta was enriched with valuable works of art, including remarkable sculptures by Antonio Canova, still on display inside the villa. But the main attraction is its luxuriant garden beside the calm waters of Lake Como, which is divided into two parts: an Italian garden designed in the 18th century and an English one laid out by Princess Carlotta herself.

The villa is a few kilometres from Argegno, a small village overlooking Lake Como in the area of its greatest depth. After walking along the characteristic and narrow streets of the old town, do not miss the chance to take in the beautiful surroundings. Varenna is a romantic, mid-sized town with a picturesque walkway looping throughout the town, a charming harbour flanked by kayaks and restaurants, and quaint medieval lanes. Varenna comes alive in the spring as tourists start to arrive.

The villa’s main feature is the breathtaking view of Lake Como. If you are looking for a luxury villa that allows you to fully appreciate the stunning beauty of the lake, Property 10233 is the ideal place for you. The villa can accommodate twelve guests in six double bedrooms spread over multiple floors, plus two guests in a room with a French bed and two additional guests in a twin room in the Torretta.

Overlooking the lake, the villa boasts a generous terrace with a modern heated pool (please note that the pool can be heated on request at an extra cost) and access to the lake. The spacious poolside area is equipped with comfortable sun loungers, inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the poolside area is a dream spot for relaxing in the midday sun with a good book and a glass of prosecco.

The ground floor features a living room, a generous dining room with access to the terrace, a fully equipped kitchen with access to the terrace, a laundry room (for staff use only), and a convenient guest bathroom. The first floor includes a comfortable sitting room and three bedrooms: a master bedroom (double) with a king-size bed, private terrace, and en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower; a double bedroom with king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with a bath, and walk-in wardrobe; and a room with a French bed (suitable for two guests) with an en-suite bathroom with a bath.

On the second floor, you will find five bedrooms: a double bedroom with a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, and bathroom with an external bath; a double bedroom with a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, and bathroom with a bath; a double bedroom with a king-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, and bathroom with a shower; and another double bedroom with a king-size bed and bathroom with a shower. This floor also features a twin room in the Torretta, which is spread over two levels: a bedroom on the upper level and a bathroom with a shower on the lower level, connected by a staircase. Additionally, the second floor boasts a games room with a table tennis and foosball table.

Please note that the twin room on the second floor (in the Torretta) does not have central air conditioning but is equipped with a portable air conditioner. A lift connects the floors of the villa. Please be aware that the villa is not directly accessible by car, as it is situated in the centre of the village of Torno. Guests can park just 500 metres from the property and walk along a short, characteristic path to the entrance. Porter service is provided on arrival and departure.
