Most visitors head straight for the north coast towns of Ischia Porto, Ischia Ponte, Forio and Lacco Ameno: of these, Ischia Porto boasts the best bars, while Forio and Lacco Ameno have the prettiest spas and gardens. On the calmer south coast, the car-free perfection of Sant’Angelo offers a languid blend of a cozy harbor and lazy beaches. In between the coasts lies a less-trodden landscape of chestnut forests, vineyards and volcanic rock, loomed over by Monte Epomeo, Ischia’s highest peak.

Situated along the western coast of Ischia, Forio is the island’s second largest town. Forio is famous for its picturesque town with shops and restaurants, and it is also home to the Chiesa del Soccorso, one of the prettiest churches in Ischia. In the center of Forio, you will also find the Torrione Museum, an ancient look-out tower that was built to keep enemies out. Citara Beach is one of the most alluring beaches in Ischia, while the beaches of Cava dell’Isola, Chiaia and San Francesco are within walking distance.

The Property

Located on a panoramic position on the Northwestern side of the island of Ischia, Property 10248 provides a unique retreat for those seeking complete privacy and pure relaxation in one of the most appreciated areas in Italy. Immersed in a lush park characterized by typical drywalls in local volcanic stone, the property can accommodate up to twelve plus twelve guests featuring twelve bedrooms spread over an exclusive main villa and its three cottages.

Surrounded by impressive terraces and landscaped gardens, the property boasts an exceptional pool and a spacious poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers to dry off in the idyllic Italian sun. Offering a peaceful atmosphere, the area beside the pool also boasts a generous al fresco lounge area where guests can enjoy moments of relaxation in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco. The outdoor area is also the perfect place for al fresco dining or sunset aperitifs.

Main Villa: At the center of the estate, the main villa dominates the garden and the large pool, enjoying amazing views of the hills and the sea. The villa can accommodate up to twelve guests featuring six bedrooms (four double bedrooms and two twin rooms) with en-suite bathroom, two fully-equipped kitchens, living rooms, a dining room and a library. Each bedroom has its en-suite bathroom with bathtub, while the master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with both tub and shower.

Citrus House: When the citruses are blossoming, dining under the porch of the Citrus House can become an inebriant experience. On a single level it offers the ideal accommodation for a couple with children: a double bedroom and a twin room with en-suite bathrooms, one with bathtub and one with shower. The house also features a spacious kitchen with dining corner and a large living room. Exterior porches face the orchard and the hills while interior spaces offer an elegant and relaxing atmosphere.

Orchard House: The former home of the peasants, situated in the Northwestern corner of the property, has been transformed in a beautiful Mediterranean house. On a single level it offers the ideal accommodation for a family or a small group of friends: three bedrooms (a double bedroom, a twin room and and a single room) with private bathrooms, one with shower, one with tub, and the largest with Jacuzzi and separate shower. The house also features a spacious kitchen, a dining room and a large living room.

Red House: Built on a cliff on the highest point of the property, with a privileged view on Forio and Mount Epomeo, the Red House offers the ideal accommodation for a couple, featuring one double bedroom and two floors. The Red House boasts a living room with kitchen corner on the ground floor opening onto the garden, a comfortable double bedroom with fireplace on the first floor connected by a winding staircase carved out of volcanic rock and a bathroom with shower inside a circular little tower. Please note that the Red House can be only rented with the Main Villa.
