Description

VILLA MONTERIPALDI - ARCETRI

4 Bedrooms

Location and Surrounding Area
Immersed in the peaceful Tuscan countryside, this magnificent recently-restored property is ideally located to explore the region’s cultural highlights and most spectacular natural wonders. With wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, this exclusive property is the perfect location for unforgettable day trips to the most beautiful towns in Tuscany and provides a unique opportunity to admire its splendid landscapes while soaking up the region’s incredibly rich historical and cultural heritage.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from Florence, a treasure trove of art with an astonishing contemporary vibe. Beyond the extraordinary artistic heritage, a testimony to its centuries of civilization, the best way to enjoy Florence is to stroll along the riverside avenues at sunset, or to get lost among the city’s myriad alleyways of the bohemian Oltrarno or the narrow little streets of San Niccolò, where it feels like you have ended up in another time along its centuries-old walls.

The villa is just a few kilometers from San Gimignano, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Italy. From afar, San Gimignano looks like a town from a Renaissance painting: a circle of 13th-century walls enclosing tall, teetering stone towers. Its towers make it instantly recognizable, but the art treasures held within its walls are just as remarkable. Although the town is small, there is enough art, architecture and fine food to keep you busy for more than one day.

The villa is just a stone’s throw from the medieval town of Siena. Its ancient red brick buildings, the scallop-shaped main square Piazza del Campo and the Cathedral Square, dominated by the zebra-striped Duomo, make it an absolute must for anyone traveling to Tuscany. Effectively an open-air museum celebrating the Gothic, Siena boasts secular monuments that have retained both their medieval forms and their exceptional art collections, providing plenty to marvel at.

The villa is also a few kilometers from Volterra, one of Tuscany’s most dramatic hilltop towns. Despite its many attractions, Volterra sees fewer tourists than other Tuscan towns, so you can expect to share its winding stone streets with locals and explore its ancient sites without crowds. Founded by the Etruscans and surrounded by medieval walls, Volterra has a notable historic center filled with fascinating Roman ruins, medieval buildings and alabaster workshops.

In less than two hours by car you can reach Pisa, exceptionally well-known for its Leaning Tower. Moving between its alleys and riversides you will discover architectural jewels such as Santa Maria della Spina, the headquarters of the Scuola Normale Superiore in Piazza dei Cavalieri, the exhibitions of Palazzo Blu and the magnetic charm of Piazza dei Miracoli. Start from the Baptistery and head to the 130-meter Camposanto Monumentale overlooking the square.

Property 1605885733 is 11 km from Florence Amerigo Vespucci International Airport, 81 km from Pisa Galileo Galilei International Airport, 110 km from Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport and 308 km from Rome Leonardo da Vinci International Airport. Florence is 3 km from the villa, San Gimignano is 51 km, Siena is 70 km, Volterra is 73 km, Pisa is 85 km, Lucca is 85 km, Livorno is 91 km, Viareggio is 106 km, Forte dei Marmi is 117 km.

The Property
Set in a serene countryside of gently rolling hills, Property 1605885733 provides the perfect retreat for those seeking complete privacy and relaxation in the heart of Tuscany. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, this magnificent property has been recently restored while preserving the atmosphere of a traditional Tuscan farm hamlet. Offering a bright, airy and soothing feel, Property 1605885733 can accommodate up to 8 guests plus 1 extra guest (in a sofa bed) featuring four double bedrooms spread across the main villa and two annexes.

Located on the 3-hectare compound that also contains a fruit tree orchard, this magnificent property boasts a state-of-the-art chlorine-free ionic pool overlooking the Tuscan hills and one of Tuscany’s most beautiful monasteries. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the poolside area represents an idyllic spot for basking in the sun and enjoying wonderful moments of relaxation. The outdoor area also features an al fresco dining area with outdoor kitchen, pizza oven and barbecue, and a lounge area for relaxing and socializing.

Surrounded by lush, landscaped gardens, the two-floor main villa has three independent annexes. The villa’s main entrance overlooks the “piazza” with stone floor which connects the main villa and the two annexes like a traditional Tuscan mini village. On the ground floor of the main villa, you will find a generous living space leading to a dining area overlooked by a modern chandelier. These spaces feature designer chairs and objects, beautiful rugs, high quality furniture and antiques.

The elegant open-space on the ground floor leads to a comfortable area with sofas and armchairs facing a stone fireplace. On the right side of the ground floor, you will find a dining table connected to a modern fully-equipped kitchen with central island. On the ground floor you will also find a small fully-equipped laundry room, a bathroom and a tv-library-office room. On the upper floor you will find two double bedrooms that can accommodate four guests.

One double bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed with spacious en-suite bathroom with freestanding bathtub and glass-wall shower, and an en-suite wardrobe room. The other bedroom has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and a spacious wardrobe. On the same floor you will find an exclusive gym complete with modern equipment. In the gym you will also find an additional bathroom with shower and large tub.

Two annexes complete the property. The first annex (Annex 1) can accommodate two people in a double bedroom and one extra guest (at an extra cost) in a comfortable sofa bed. On the ground floor you will find a living area with breakfast table, a large sofa and a bathroom with shower. The upper floor features the cozy double bedroom with queen-size bed, while the sofa bed can be found on the ground floor.

The second annex (Annex 2) can accommodate two guests in a comfortable double bedroom. The ground floor features a living area with sofa and a bathroom with shower. The upper floor features the bedroom with queen-size bed.
