Perched on the side of a mountain, Taormina is one of Sicily's most popular summer destinations, a chic resort town popular with holidaying high-rollers and those wanting a taste of Sicilian dolce vita. Founded in the 4th century BC, Taormina enjoyed great prosperity under the Greek ruler Gelon II and later under the Romans, but fell into quiet obscurity after being conquered by the Normans in 1087. Its reincarnation as a tourist destination dates to the 18th century, when northern Europeans discovered it on the Grand Tour.

Messina sits on a curved harbour at the northernmost point of Sicily's Ionian Coast, a few kilometres from the Italian mainland. With a panoramic position, the villa offers breathtaking views of the sea and the Bay of Taormina, which can be admired from the spacious outdoor terrace. Surrounded by a 2000-sqm garden, the terrace features an exclusive pool and comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a serene atmosphere, the terrace also features an exceptional heated Jacuzzi (on request, extra). Complete with a barbecue area, the outdoor area is perfect for quiet moments and intimate evening drinks.

Located in the heart of Taormina, just a five-minute walk from the historic centre, the villa can sleep nine guests in five bedrooms spread over two floors. The ground floor boasts an exceptional winter garden with comfortable sofas and armchairs with plenty of seating. On the same floor, you will find a fully-equipped kitchen with dining area. The ground floor also features three double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom with shower. One of the bedrooms features a single sofa bed for an extra guest (on request, extra).

With an elegant atmosphere, the upper floor boasts a cozy living room with fireplace. On the same floor, you will find two bedrooms: a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub and handheld showerhead; and a single room with a comfortable French bed. On the same floor you will also find a bathroom with shower, which can be used by the guest of the single room. Air conditioning and wireless Internet access are available throughout.
