VILLA VIOLANTE - BUONCONVENTO 9 Bedrooms Location and Surrounding Area Property 1557152195 is just a stone’s throw away from Buonconvento, one of the most beautiful medieval villages of Italy: located where the rivers Arbia and Ombrone converge, it has been for centuries a stop for travelers along the Via Francigena, and it is also part of the area known as Crete Senesi. The property is also a few kilometers from Montalcino: globally known as the home of one of the world’s greatest wines, Brunello di Montalcino, the attractive hilltop town of Montalcino has a remarkable number of "enoteche" lining its medieval streets and it is surrounded by hugely picturesque wineyards. In less than one hour by car, you can easily reach Siena, Italy’s loveliest medieval town, whose heart is represented by the magnificent Piazza del Campo, scene of the lively Palio horse race, which is held twice a year in July and August. The Campo is dominated by the Palazzo Pubblico and its Torre del Mangia, from which it is possible to admire the view of the town. The villa is also a few kilometers from Montepulciano, which rests atop a narrow chalky hill where the Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana meet. The best way to discover the historic center atop the hill is on foot: as you walk along, you will come across mighty Renaissance palaces before reaching, at the highest point of the town, the main piazza. In less than two hours by car, you can easily reach Florence, whose museums house the greatest artistic treasures in the world. The most important sites in Florence include the Duomo, the Baptistery, the Uffizi, and the Churches of Santa Maria Novella and Santa Croce. The Property The property is surrounded by a lush garden where you will find a magnificent swimming pool and a large poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers, deckchairs, and parasols to protect from the sun on hot summer days. The spectacular views of the surrounding countryside instantly give a sense of peace and calm, making this exceptional poolside area the ideal place to enjoy moments of true relaxation and tranquility in the company of a good book and a glass of prosecco. The garden also boasts a generous al fresco dining area with barbecue, where guests can intimately spend time together while enjoying traditional Italian food and the mild Tuscan climate. Here you will also find a recently-built outdoor covered lounge area. Last but not least, the main façade of the villa has been recently restored. The main villa offers nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms spread across the north and south wing. On the ground floor of the north wing, the interior living space is furnished with comfortable sofas with plenty of seating, while large windows constantly offer inviting views over the garden, creating a luminous and airy atmosphere dominated by light colors. The ground floor also houses a large dining area and a modern fully-equipped kitchen. On the first floor of the north wing, you will find four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The Yellow Room is a double bedroom featuring a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. The Blue Room is a double bedroom featuring a king-size bed (can be arranged as a twin room) and bathroom with shower next door. The Green Room is a double bedroom featuring a king-size bed with bathroom with shower next door. And the Burgundy Room is a twin room (standard beds, 90x200 cm) sharing the bathroom with the Green Room next door. On the first floor of the south wing, you will find four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The Red Room is a twin room (which can be arranged as a double bedroom) with bathroom with tub next door. The ground floor of the depéndance houses a spacious living room complete with fireplace, a large kitchen, and a comfortable double bedroom featuring a bathroom with shower, while the master bedroom (with queen-size bed) featuring en-suite bathroom with shower is located on the upper floor.
