Property 490 Location and Surrounding Area Located in one of the most appreciated areas in Southern Italy, just a few kilometers from the marvelous Adriatic coast and out the charming town of Ostuni, this exclusive carefully-restored four-bedroom villa is ideally situated to offer complete privacy and tranquility to its guests, providing a perfect retreat for those who want to explore this diverse region which is home to historic towns, incredible landscapes, excellent food and some of the best beaches in Southern Italy. In just twenty minutes by car, you can easily reach Ostuni, also known as “the white city”. With its ancient cobblestone streets, grand churches and quaint white houses, Ostuni boasts remarkable history that goes back to the Stone Ages. The Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace are especially striking, but there are many other architectural gems to be found, including the old homes of the nobles: you would not be mistaken for thinking that you are actually wandering around a lovely Greek village. The villa is just a stone’s throw away from Martina Franca, the largest town in the Valle d’Itria. Being in the heart of the valley, Martina Franca is a great base from which to explore this wonderful area, but spend some time exploring its old center, an interesting mix of golden baroque and Greek-like white architecture with many grand palazzi and churches, and a maze of narrow side streets perfect for aimless wandering. The villa is just a stone’s throw from Locorotondo, a whitewashed hilltop town designated as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, and from Cisternino, often listed as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. After you have visited the historic Chiesa di San Nicola, you can get charming views of the surrounding countryside from Piazza Garibaldi, across the street from the church, and the Torre Civica, the tower which helped to protect the city. The villa is a few kilometers from Alberobello, perhaps the most famous town in the Valle d’Itria due to its typical trulli: the conical rooftops coupled with charming cobblestone alleys and whitewashed houses are a simply magical sight. The old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, consists of a maze of lovely streets and steps lined by trulli. Alberobello is considered a unique and enchanting place, and despite the fact that you may find it a bit touristy, it is definitely worth a visit. The villa is also a few kilometers from Savelletri, a pretty port town with beaches and great dining options. Known for the quality seafood, Savelletri offers a traditional fishing village atmosphere. Enjoy some fresh fish just brought in by the fishermen and stroll along the charming seafront. There is a lovely waterfront church with Templar symbols, which is dedicated to the patron saint, celebrated in grand style on the second Sunday of August with a procession by sea of boats. Comprised of eleven trulli, the villa can accommodate up to eight guests featuring four bedrooms (three double bedrooms and one twin room) and three bathrooms. Surrounded by a lush Mediterranean garden, the villa boasts an exceptional pool and a generous poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. Offering a tranquil atmosphere, the area beside the pool also features a large gazebo complete with a spacious well-equipped outdoor kitchen and a bar, built-in barbecue and an al fresco dining area, perfect for enjoying al fresco meals with your fellow guests. Property 490 features three double bedrooms and one twin room. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the front of the property, while the other one bedroom and the other bathroom are located on the back. All bathrooms have shower. Located on the back of the property, this small apartment with one bedroom features its own living room, well-equipped kitchen and independent access. On the front of the property, you will also find a living area, a small dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. Property 490 is located near Villa Le Petit Bleu, in the same estate. Both villas together can accommodate up to 12 guests and can be rented together for larger groups. The estate where the two villas are located is completely fenced, it offers two separate entrances and a metal fence is located between the two villas, separating them and giving the guests of each their own privacy.
