In just ten minutes by car, you can easily reach Monopoli, whose name translates as unique city. Before arriving to its heart, cross the beautiful country fields and while passing by the Selva di Fasano, make a stop-off to enjoy the view of fortified masserie, churches, rock settlements and villas from this natural terrace. Stay in the countryside and make for the Lama degli Ulivi Botanic Garden to visit the caves, rock-hewn churches and more than 2000 plant species. Take a stroll around the historic center up to the town’s landmark, the Castle of Carlo V.

Crystal clear waters and cliffs pitted with caves carved by the sea give Polignano a Mare its uniqueness. Known as the pearl of the Adriatic, Polignano a Mare is the ideal place to plunge into uncontaminated waters and explore a picturesque historic center by the sea. In just half an hour by car, you can easily reach Alberobello, famous for its trulli houses. There is a lovely waterfront church with Templar symbols, which is dedicated to the patron saint, celebrated in grand style on the second Sunday of August with a procession by sea of boats.

The Property
Immersed in a land of centuries-old olive trees, Masseria dell’Arte is an exclusive five-star boutique resort located in one of the most evocative corners in Southern Italy. Offering the services of a luxury hotel, the villa preserves the atmosphere of a traditional Apulian house and is just a few kilometers from the sea. Built in the late 19th century, Masseria dell’Arte has been renovated to accommodate 22 guests in 9 double bedrooms and 2 communicating double bedrooms, plus 4 extra guests in 2 double sofa beds.

The construction of the villa dates back to the second half of the nineteenth century at the behest of a local noble family. Originally founded as a summer residence, the building became the headquarters of the local British garrison during the Second World War. Due to its strategic position, it was the perfect observation point to monitor any potential enemy activity. A few years ago, thanks to the intuition of an enlightened local entrepreneur, the property was entirely renovated while preserving its historical features.

Surrounded by a lush garden and typical dry-stone walls, this elegant villa features an exceptional saltwater swimming pool carved into the rock and a generous paved poolside area furnished with comfortable sun loungers inviting guests to sit back and unwind. From the tower of the resort, where you will find a tranquil atmosphere, you can enjoy spectacular views of the small village of Triggianello and the surrounding towns of Polignano a Mare, Conversano, Castellana Grotte and Monopoli.

Offering a welcoming Apulian atmosphere with its dry-stone walls and high ceilings, the breakfast room is flooded with natural light. The resort also features a generous restaurant. The resort’s restaurant is located in what was originally the stable. The restaurant, which can seat up to sixty people, is characterized by a high beamed ceilings, stone walls and large windows overlooking the outdoor area and creating an airy atmosphere dominated by light colors. Piquet Suite: Designed to accommodate four guests, the spacious Piquet Suite is located on the first floor of the main villa. Elegant and comfortable, with an area of 45 square meters, it is perfect for a family stay in a bright space furnished with refined style. With its 45 square meters of space spread over two floors, this suite boasts a first floor with double bedroom and bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub, and a second floor with living area with double sofa bed and private terrace.
