Location and Surrounding Area. Who hasn't dreamt of lazing their holidays away in a gorgeous Tuscan villa set in magnificent countryside? Property 10590 could well be your answer. The farmhouse is just outside the small town of Massarosa, which was once popular during the times of the Romans and you can still see the remains of the ancient Massaciuccoli thermal baths. The area is famous not only for its fine food and wine but also the Versilia coastline and its fashionable resorts and celebrity beach clubs. The gently-sloping, sandy shelf makes the beaches safe for small children. Viareggio is a popular seaside town, home to the famous carnival parade and a whole host of summer events such as the Puccini Festival, the Jazz Festival as well as various theatre productions.

Lucca has often been voted one of the world's most desirable cities to live in or visit and is only 20km from Property 10590. It is perhaps most famous for it's thick, 16th century ramparts which encircle the city and were restored in the 19th century to create a wide, tree-lined walkway. You can walk or cycle on top of the whole length of the walls and discover the wonders of the town within. There are pretty cobbled streets, ancient piazzas, gorgeous churches, glorious renaissance buildings, markets and countless local restaurants, bars and trattorias. Lucca was the birthplace of the Italian opera maestro, Giacomo Puccini and the town often hosts international opera as well as classical music events and rock concerts.

Property 10590 is well-served by local shops in either Piano di Conca or Stiava, both within easy walking distance of about 1km. The beaches of Viareggio and Lido di Camaiore are about 8km away and Forte dei Marmi is less than 15km. Lucca is 20km and Florence 95km. Pisa international airport is only 30km away.

The Property. Property 10590 has recently been completely refurbished and can sleep up to ten guests in five double bedrooms, three of which have en suite bathrooms. One of the double bedrooms with an en suite bathroom is located on the ground floor, perfect for people who either would rather not or are unable to use the stairs. This bedroom also enjoys private access out to the gardens. The other four bedrooms are on the first floor. The master bedroom features an en suite with a bath and a shower and its own dressing area. The third double also has an en suite bathroom with a shower and the fourth double and a large twin room share a spacious bathroom with both a bath and a shower.

Downstairs, there is a beautiful living room with a fireplace and beamed ceilings. There is a set of French windows that leads out onto the veranda. The furnishings are an eclectic mix of pieces that the owners have found during their overseas travels and brought back to make a welcoming home and it is all nicely brought together by the authentic terracotta floors. The formal dining room can seat up to 15 guests and comes complete with lovely wooden dressers. The kitchen is large and offers all the modern conveniences for rustling up some Tuscan delicacies to be enjoyed al fresco on the outside dining patio. Either that or why not try your hand at the barbecue situated conveniently close to the dining area? Whichever option you choose, the shady veranda seats twelve guests and has charming views out across the countryside.

You can also pamper yourself in the spa centre in the basement. You'll find a steam bath, a jacuzzi for up to six people and an extra bathroom with a shower. There is also a laundry room with a washing machine.

The immaculate lawns have a wonderful, fenced in swimming pool with a spacious poolside area, an outdoor shower and a furnished gazebo.
