A popular destination since the 19th century, Capri is notable for its residences, gardens, and Roman ruins. With its whitewashed buildings and car-free streets, Capri exudes a cinematic air. Located in Anacapri, a relatively quiet and more relaxed base than Capri town, the villa is just a stone’s throw away from Villa San Michele. The former home of Swedish doctor, psychiatrist and animal-rights advocate Axel Munthe, Villa San Michele should be included on every visitor’s itinerary. Built on the site of the ruins of a Roman villa, the gardens make a charming setting for a tranquil stroll, with pathways flanked by immaculate flowerbeds.

Just off the Amalfi Coast and a short boat ride from Naples, the glamorous island has a spectacular shoreline that includes the famous Faraglioni rocks and the Grotta Azzurra, an unusual sea cave illuminated by an otherworldly blue light. Sunlight enters through a small underwater aperture and is refracted through the water. This, combined with the reflection of the light off the white sandy seafloor, produces the vivid blue effect to which the cave owes its name. The easiest way to visit is to take a boat from Marina Grande.

Capri’s best beach is at Marina Grande, where you will find a little sand among the pebbles. Unsurprisingly, it is perennially popular with families. From here, small boats will ferry you over to the popular swimming spot, Bagni di Tiberio. The villa is also a few kilometres from Villa Jovis. Villa Jovis was the largest and most sumptuous of twelve Roman villas commissioned by Roman Emperor Tiberius on the island of Capri, and his main island residence.

The Property

Recently renovated with a traditional yet modern approach, Property 1651263793 can sleep up to twelve guests in six double bedrooms with en-suite bathroom spread over two floors.

Offering a calm atmosphere and breathtaking views of the sea, the villa boasts a generous terrace with pool (from 2024), comfortable sun loungers, large parasols, and a hot tub that easily accommodates five people. Once you have recharged your batteries, venture out to explore all the area has to offer. The nearby beaches are excellent spots for those who love to sunbathe and explore magical places. Around the villa, there is a park with olive trees, carobs, holm oaks, and other plants typical of the Mediterranean flora.

The reception area is accessed via a flight of stairs, from which you reach a bright living area that includes a lounge with two comfortable benches, a fireplace, and a 77-inch satellite TV. The dining room features five single tables that can be joined together to make one sensational table. With modern interiors, the light-filled living area unfolds into a comfortable living room (from 2024) with a large sofa with plenty of seating, satellite TV, and two large French doors leading to the panoramic outdoor terrace.

Furnished with stylish simplicity, the villa features a fully-equipped kitchen with all amenities needed for a comfortable stay plus a handy wine cellar that can be used to store a small selection of wines. Designed to blend contemporary style with more than a touch of sea-house romance, the villa features six double bedrooms spread over two floors: two bedrooms are on located the lower floor and four can be found on the upper floor, where you will also find the communal areas.

Each bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with shower (except for one room on the upper floor, which has a tub). With views of the sea, the two bedrooms on the lower floor have access to the terrace. Air conditioning is available in all rooms, except for the bathrooms. It is a centralized summer and winter air conditioning system with devices that may be independently controlled in each room and are fixed on the floor or walls. The two floors are connected through each other through an external staircase.

The villa also features a stairlift for people with reduced mobility. Please note that the fireplace in the living room is decorative and therefore cannot be used. Kindly be advised that on the lower floor, next to one bedroom, there is the room of the butler/caretaker. This person takes care of the daily cleaning of the villa. Furthermore, this person offers guest assistance, both during the day and in the evening. At night, this person is available in case of emergency.
