Location and Surrounding Area
Located on the glamorous island of Capri, this charming seven-bedroom property is situated just minutes away from the famous Piazzetta di Capri, the main square of the island. A popular destination since the 19th century, Capri is notable for its residences, gardens, and Roman ruins. With its whitewashed buildings and car-free streets, Capri exudes a cinematic air. Steep cliffs rise majestically from an impossibly blue sea, elegant villas drip with wisteria, and even the trees seem to be carefully manicured.

Famous via Krupp hairpins down to Marina Piccola, a charming beach hangout surrounded by cliffs, and a good place for a swim. You can rent a comfortable sun bed at La Canzone del Mare beach club, which even includes a tiny stretch of sand. It is quite a climb to get up to the ruins of Emperor Tiberius's Villa Jovis to the northeast of town, but once you reach the top, you get an eyeful of “some of the loveliest scenery on earth,” according to Graham Greene.

The Piazzetta, Capri's elegant open-air drawing room, lies at the heart of the historic town. This picturesque square is complete with an ancient church and lovely bell tower and filled with tables from bars whose cream-jacketed waiters vie for trade among passers-by from early in the morning until well after evening. Everyone who comes to Capri passes through this square at some point, so once aperitivo hour approaches, grab a seat and order an Aperol spritz.

One of Capri’s most magical sights is the Grotta Azzurra (the Blue Grotto), an unusual sea cave illuminated by an otherworldly blue light. The easiest way to visit is to take a boat tour from Marina Grande. Beautiful though it is, the Grotta is extremely popular in the summer. Sunlight enters through a small underwater aperture and is refracted through the water. This, combined with the reflection of the light off the white sandy seafloor, produces the vivid blue effect to which the cave owes its name.

The Property
Just a ten-minute walk from the famous Piazzetta of Capri, Property 10448 represents a perfect hideaway for those seeking privacy and relaxation in one of the most evocative corners on the island of Capri. With a superb position overlooking the Bay of Marina Piccola, this bright villa features a panoramic terrace, a pool, and an abundance of light. With accommodation on three levels, Property 10448 can sleep up to fourteen guests in seven bedrooms spread over the Main Villa (six bedrooms) and the Dépendance (one bedroom).

There are three ways to access the villa: two down the main road and one up top from Matermania. The sloped entry to the lower level consists of 100 steps and 25 little ramps, so the villa is not recommended for disabled or elderly people. Offering a peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views over the sea, the villa boasts an exclusive terrace with a pool and a poolside area equipped with comfortable sun loungers and deckchairs, inviting guests to sit back and unwind while enjoying the charming panorama.

Main Villa (5 Double Bedrooms + 1 Twin Room):
Flooded with natural light, the main floor of the main villa is on the same level as the pool and outdoor terrace. With a touch of sea-house romance, the main floor boasts a well-equipped kitchen, a large living area with access to the pool and the terrace surrounding the house, and a handy guest bathroom. On the upper floor, you will find three double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom (two with shower and one with both shower and bathtub).

The lower floor of the main villa boasts three bedrooms: two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom (one with shower and one with both shower and bathtub) and a twin room with bathroom with shower (please note that this bathroom is accessed from the corridor). On the lower floor, you will also find a living room with TV, a cozy kitchen, a laundry room, and the staff area featuring a small bedroom with bathroom. Please note that a staff member will be on site during the stay, sleeping in this room.

Dépendance (1 Double Bedroom):
Near the pool, you will find a dépendance featuring a comfortable double bedroom and a private bathroom with shower. Outside, under the shelter of the most fragrant pine trees, the entire garden is an explosion of colors. The façade and interiors of the villa are an explosion of gleaming white in contrast to the vibrant hues of the gardens, which are adorned with bougainvillea and flowers. Dating back to the beginning of the 20th century, this exclusive property is outfitted with fashionable furnishings.

Please note that the villa has a sloped entry to the lower level consisting of 100 steps and 25 little ramps, and consequently, it is neither suitable nor recommended for disabled or elderly people. Furthermore, the property does not have parking, as the road leading to the house cannot be reached by car but only on foot.
